The final episode of The Cricket Show, which replaced the Cricket Roadshow in 2003, and ran until Channel 4's contract to broadcast cricket finished in 2005.

Here Adam Darke and Anita Rani look back on 7 seasons of Channel 4 cricket, with some excellent vintage footage. Anita Rani has obviously gone onto bigger and better things as a reporter, but does anyone know what Adam Darke is doing now?

Part 2 of the Cricket Show, and the rest of the build-up to Day 3 of the Fifth Ashes Test are elsewhere on my channel.

  • In response to my comment about Adam Darke in the video description, he popped up as the reporter on the Official 2011 England v India DVD which was released last autumn.

  • @madmusician91 I've heard Adam Darke narrating Sky Sports segments. Seeing the old times of the Cricket Roadshow, could you please upload CH4 cricket from the years of '99, 00 & 01?

  • @Crkt4Eva I will put up the little I have - one highlights programme from Pakistan in 2000/1 and the 2000 Season Review. I was going to ask you if you had any of the old Roadshows taped (I wish I did!)?

  • @madmusician91 What I don't understand is CH4 broadcasting highlights of the '00 PAK/ENG series but not continuing to broadcast overseas highlights for other tours after, I know they did highlights for the 02/03 Ashes, & I never knew CH4 did season reviews! @4:49, it shows Trescothick on CH4 in June '99, but didn't CH4 only start broadcasting live matches in July & after?

  • @Crkt4Eva I think that C4 did broadcast Winter highlights of SA in 99/00, Pak and Sri L in 00/01, India in 01/02 (but not New Zealand) and Aus in 02/03. After that they stopped for good. The Season Review in 2000 was shown at Christmas, and I don't think they did one any other years - it was just because England had been so successful. The footage of Trescothick is from the first ever Roadshow, on 26 June, the Sat before the First Test.

  • At least the cricket show had a programe on every weekend in the cricket season unlike sky sports cricket am

  • @madmusician91 Well, I really wanted to record CH4's montage of there coverage of cricket from there six years on air but (for some strange reason) the digital cable signal died (i can't remember exactly what happened), to this day that has got me annoyed. I also recorded this last ever cricket show, the live opening day of the Ashes '05 (21st july), all "Today at the Tests" of that series & the live broadcast of the last day at the Oval.

  • Mark Nicholas speeks very charmingly so beautiful in speeking....
