The Pin-Barrel Harp (Sharpsichord) is a sound-sculpture designed & built by Henry Dagg as an acoustic composing machine for public use, in honour of Cecil Sharp; it has been commissioned by the English Folk Dance & Song Society and funded by the Big Lottery fund. It has been undergoing a series of upgrades since its original recorded performances, and a variety of musical genres is being used as trial material.

This is loads of different kinds of awesome...Chris Wood is probably my favourite songwriter, and that machine is more than a machine...its an expression of hope to me, that the world will always allow space for creativity, and that somewhere somehow truly talented individuals will find an outlet for their gifts. This combination could also only be english...
