I didn't find it on youtube so I recorded this myself. Its Zeliard played on a DOS pc with Creative Sound blaster 16 and Roland MT-32 synthesizer attached.
Please note that I recorded this to "show" you the MT-32 sound and not for gameplay skills (Longplay, speedrun or skill showoff) I tried to encounter as little enemies as possible for your hearing pleasure.
This first part contains the first and second title song, Muralla Town, Cavern of Malicia (level 1), Cavern of Peligro (level 2), Satono Town, Bosque Village, And Cavern of Riza (level 3)

Sidenotes: I had to edit the credit roll because someone changed it within the game.
This gameplay is recorded on a genuine Dos machine with a real Sound blaster 16 and a real Roland MT-32. No emulators or clones were used.

  • YES! Sounds great. Some of my favorite game music.

  • Wow. How do you attach the MT-32 to an SB16? What exactly do you need in order to get this quality?

  • Still likely the best game music ever. The game is frustrating as hell but in the old days, I remember having kept playing just for the music <3

    My top 5 tunes:

    1) Muralla

    2) Bosque

    3) Malicia

    4) Escarcha/Glacial

    5) Absor/Falter/Final (the chorus)

  • Thanks for putting this up ! When I played this game for the first time in the early 90s (?) I had an 286 without any soundcard. Even with the poor pc speaker "beep" only sound, it was obvious the game had a great soundtrack. It was awesome to hear the soundtrack after years for the first time with an emulated soundcard on dosbox. One question though: This one sounds a litte different than the dosbox version. Which version/soundcard does dosbox emulate ?

  • Thank U
