I like the fact that this video featured rarer styles like Taizu.

However, I have to concur that, in some respects, the filmmakers did not perform due diligence. At 3:55, the narrator says that Dong Mu Yau is "the last person capable of doing Fukien White Crane" but, at 3:44, he said that Master Dong has taught "more than 3000 pupils". And it just so happens that the teacher featured in the next segment was originally trained in Fukien White Crane!

So yeah, someone did not do their homework.

please don't misinterpret my comments. i didn't question the "real" gong fu of the practioners, no doubt they master their art, but the 2 parts give a far too small overview of taiwan's current situation. it is like making a video about your country and presenting only two or three tourist locations, as famous they may be.

lastly, don't call fancy some moves that you don't undertand the use. each style must be respected and has its own system, each move its own purpose(s). comments from taiwan

Why you are disappointed? This is real Wushu/Gong Fu.I like these 2 Parts very much and its nice to see that the real thing survived in Taiwan. Also remarkable here is that these 3 Masters with 76,80,92years are in very good condition. Looking at your videos I think you are just missed the fancy moves.

quite disappointing. i studied chinese kungfu in taiwan for several years and this video in 2 parts is not very representative of today's chinese martial arts in Taiwan. it is a pity because this island is a paradise for trational kung-fu.
