  • movement is very complicated. I think I might have to disagree slightly about the weight distribution as for any speedy movement the weight must shift to the pushing foot. Your point of natural movement and balance in a real situation is very good

You might mention the idea of bridging where a contacted arm and two legs forms a tripod, or where a kick is simply an alteration of a long step in should be covered. Some of the Wing Tsun videos with Emin Boztepe demonstrate the step in kick very well

  • there's no disagreement, of course you have to lighten up one foot to move with the other.... that's natural, but unless your like 300+lbs you don't waddle when you move.

  • why don't you go save another stupid wing chun favorite.. their just laughable

  • This is a very nice introduction to your art, but the audio ruins it, it is absolutely atrocious. Please re-make this or overdub with new audio!

  • so you don't believe in kicking.....

    at all??? no sweeps nothing??

  • And for the end one of the best grandmasters in wing chun is deffinetly Wiliam Cheung

  • In practice u will spot what move is wrong or to say ilogical, otherwise if u dont spot or ignore ur blind

  • Ip Man was not wrong he just didnt want to teach some people the original wing chun, so he teach them modification

thats why there are silly battle stances here on youtube and many other fineses or tehniques wrongly passed

  • LOL What prompted that response?

  • omg, i'm wrong... holy crap.... thank god your so right... i'm gonna quit now

  • HAHAHAHA now that is hilarious. Ip Man was from a wealthy family for a start. He was a police man for a while. As for physics, Ip Man had an interest in engineering for the purpose of supporting his teachings from a physics stand point. Everything you said, I affraid is completely the opposite. Oh and by the way, you don't HAVE to be a physics major to know how to fight.

  • ip man was a sweeper for a bar...he had no knowledge of physics. Everything he passed down was great but he messed alot of it up.

  • So you're saying Ip Man was wrong?
