I almost never agree with any politicians, but pat kenny has to be the most stupid conceited and unprofessional person i have ever seen on tv. His questions, anecdotes and ill conceived show ideas range from the boring to the cringeworthy to the deeply offensive.
If he had been born in any other country he would not have been allowed anywhere near a tv studio, but for some strange reason, talent, intellect or charisma is completely uneccessary for irish tv.

to be fair kenny got in a nice wise crack at the end lol

This man attacks Pat Kenny for not discussing the real issues, whilst spending the whole campaign attacking Martin Mcguinness every time he was asked a question on the real issues.Hypocrite.

Mitchell has a point. At 800,000 a year from state coffers one has to wonder exactly what Mr Kenny and others in the media added to our knowledge base about any of the candidates. Indeed while he and many of his well paid colleagues were running around trying to hole the various campaigns of the candidates, it took a number of ex judges and attorneys general to remind us of a far more important issue, the two referendums bot of which if passed would give extraordinary powers to our politicians.

The great mystery and something that has puzzled me for years is how Gay Mitchell actually got elected to the Dail in the first place. He is the same Gay Mitchell now as he was all those years ago when he first appeared on the political scene, completely lacking in personality and personal warmth which makes him totally unappealing. He bored the electorate silly with his self pitying and indeed bitter accounts of his early years, yet has lived the last thirty years as a well paid public servant.

Mr. Mitchell reduced the Presidential campaign to a gutter brawl. The man hasn't a statesmanlike bone in his body. He started off on McGuinness as soon as he declared his intention to run and totally misread the countries feelings towards McGuinness. His snide, sneering, self-satisfied, smug condescentions only served to highlight the dignified and honourable bearing of Michael D. The absolute gall of a person invited to take part in a debate, deliberately usurping the proceedings. Bloody clown!

Gay Mitchell seems to have a very high opinion of himself and seems perplexed as to why the public don’t love him as much as he does. He is just dying to tell us all about himself but can’t understand why the Irish public are not interested in his petulant outbursts and “very ordinary” career. I think Pat Kenny hit the nail on the head regarding temperament and character, Pat did in 10 seconds what Fine Gael couldn’t do in over 20 years, get the little pri*k to shut up.
