I was interviewed by Jill Rappaport on the Today Show in December of 2009. When I found myself alone after my German Shepherd, Jade, who accompanied me in service in NY on 9-11-01, I needed to fill the void in my heart, and for the first time, rescued a neglected German Shepherd in need of a loving home. This is the story of how we saved each other's lives - spell DOG backwards and then you will understand.

  • THANK YOU for taking the time to write me, wish you and your companion the best as I always say " SPELL DOG BACKWARDS AND YOU'LL UNDERSTAND" so glad YOU DO..................

  • a life blessing. how fortunate for you, Fran. thank you for sharing!

  • @THEladyguru THANK YOU for contacting me, as a matter of fact, my DEAR DAKOTA once again came to my recue, though this time she overwhelmed me with all that she had done to get help to me. I count my blessings every day, and am revitalized when her gift of love, honor and protection not only effects me, but others as well. Be well, and again thanks for reaching out.

  • I am sorry i ment dakota

  • Wow i am so glade that you aren't alone in this any more you have a loyal dog that will always be there for you. Jade will always love you and never leave your side i am so happy for the both of you. Why? because Jade has a loving owner and you have a loving dog.

  • My service dog came to me in a similar way. I wanted a dog after my Grandma and Uncle passed away. They actually said you need one, you're going to miss us. (My uncle died 5 months after Grandma, my two rocks in my world!) I got a 3 pound chihuahua poodle and he is amazing! Emotionally connected, seizure protector, retrieval dog. Finally was certified as a SD and we never leave each other's side. Like this lady he'd here for me and I'm here for him. :)

  • wow that is sooo cool dog god see dogs r ment to b treated with love i knew they r here for a reason
