The Interislander Ferry is bad

From Picton to Wellington

I made a booking for an expencive sailing.
Interislander cancelled my sailing
and put me on a cheaper sailing
and refused to pay the difference back !!
I still want my NZ$ 25 back !!!

I think they cancelled my sailing to save money.
If the weather really was so bad, why didn't they chain up all vehicles ??

Yeah buddy you are wrong...... The kaitaki was suppose to depart Picton at 1.15pm. Instead it left at 3pm. Why? Because the weather was bad. Why was your earlier sailing canceled? Because the weather was bad. Was it really cheaper? I doubt it. You paid to get yo ass across to the other side and you paid them. All you want is compensation towards being late.

WHY? BECAUSE THE WEATHER WAS BAD!!!!!!!

@Pacificblueboy If you go to the interislander webpage you can see in Januari 2011 the fee for one person and a vehicle for the 10:05 sailing is $233 for the next sailing it is $203. If they put you on the cheaper sailing you should get the difference back.

AND I STILL WANT THE DIFFERENCE BACK !

If i only paid to get across, as you say, all sailings would have the same fee.

Get a life you ungrateful idiot. They transferred for your safety. If you had sailed on the other ship you would complain also. At least you are alive to write your message. Instead of complaining why don't you thank the inter islander.

Answer: because the weather was not that bad.

I think they cancelled the earlier sailing to save money on fuel and just blame the weather.

And than they are to greedy or stupid to give back the differance in fee between the saillings.

They make different fees for sailings, i do not make them. Dont blame me for that.

The sailing would have been cancelled as the ship was to delayed as a result of the bad weather. It would also have been cancelled in the interest in passenger comfort and safety. By the looks, you were travelling on the Kaitaki which is a much larger ship than the other two and in turn is more stable in rough weather. If I were I would be grateful that you were transferred free of charge rather than the alternate of having had to find accomodation and pay for it until the weather cleared!

Delay would have been due to the weather, but that wasn't even rough. Done hundreds of crossings of Cook Strait and have been over in MUCH worse conditions than that! You're $25 out of pocket? Get over it, that's nothing. Besides, you should thank them for getting across safely rather than complaining.
