The Distributed Space Systems Lab in the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering at the Technion (Founded by Pini Gurfil) is a unique facility for conducting zero-g experiments of satellites. This video shows a flotation experiment of a satellite prototype on an air table specially designed to float nearly 20 kg. The actual air-table, constructed in the lab is 4 x 4 meters. The zero-friction table, designed by CoreFlow, simulates roll attitude dynamics and 2-dimensional translational dynamics on the orbital plane. The actual setup includes 4 satellites carrying optical payloads for generating images based on the technique of intensity interferometry
