http://www.behindtheburner.com Who knew that the 'tea' spoon originated from the actual measurement for tea? Tea Sommelier Chris Cason did! Cason makes tea cool, hot and chic all over again. He brings up some seriously hip tips, everything from the nifty Gravity teapot by Tavalon to a refreshing mint and Korean plum SmarTEAni. Hop on the Le-tea-train and watch Tea Sommelier Chris Cason steep away.
"Technique: When selecting tea consider your options; you may choose from one of four varieties: green, black, herbal and white.
Tip: Whether it is for your health or your mood, be aware that each tea has a distinct flavor and benefit.
Tip: Herbal ""tea"" has certain health benefits resulting from its origins of dried fruit rather than tea leaves.
Tip: Flavored tea is a fresh way to liven up the standard cocktail.
Technique: Loose leaf tea is easy! Do not be intimidated to make it. All you have to do is add one teaspoon of loose tea with every cup of boiling water and steep for 5-6 minutes.
Tip: To transform your tea into an adult beverage try Chris' Tea Cocktail: a ""SmarTEAni"" is made from white tea, mint, Korean plums and vodka."
There is no such thing as a tea "sommelier."

@jimmybryght Well it's a label just as a wine sommelier is a label. Chris has educated himself on the tastes, smells, brewing methods and more in regards to tea, just as a sommelier learns the complexities of wine.
