"what makes me say that"? The evidence mate. If god is all powerful and all knowing, he would not have put himself in the position of having to have his son tortured to death. What dad does that to his son? I find it puzzling and upsetting that ordinary decent humans make up apologies for such a vicious, evil god.

@cougarsrule45 Dear Cougar, if what you are saying is true, then god deliberately brought about suffering in order for humans to be so deseperately thankful for Jesus that they would "humble" themselves.

You've got to focus on Jesus. Did God include evil (including murder) in his plans? Perhaps. But he did it so that Jesus could die on the cross and show you unfailing love. You'll drive yourself crazy if you lose focus on what Jesus did for you. Evil had to exist for the events of the cross and Christ's ressurection to take place. You have to humble yourself and focus on who Christ is and what he did for you. If you don't then you will definitely see God as a homicidal bully.
