Hi and welcome to my favourite and what I think are the best games on the Amstrad range of home computers! From the original CPC 464, through the Plus range up to the ill-fated GX4000 console!

In the first part of 2 I run down games #20 to #10. Sorry I had to keep these short due to the YouTube time limit, I didn't want to have more than 2 parts to this and bore you! Also I meant to have this up last year in June!!! It was to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the birth of the CPC464, but never mind - I'm a busy guy and at least it's here now. It's just a bit of fun - hope you enjoy!

  • @retrocomputerkidkris Thanks mate - I loved my 6128 too disk loading made me so happy! :) I'm going to watch your Amstrad The Beginning vid shortly :)

  • I did not even know what an Amstrad was until I subscribed to your channel. And I don't know how that happened either. Glad it did though I enjoy your videos lol. Keep up the good work man :).

  • @richycline Cool man! Have you ended up downloading an emulator and disks yet to play? ;D

  • Ok, you have to help me here. What is the name of the game appearing at 00:09 ? The 3rd image, after Grizzor. That game, I've seen it in an old mag, but I could not remember the name...

  • @ryoandr Operation Wolf? The ones after Gryzor up to that is Xyphoes Fantasy and B.A.T.

  • Fabulous upload, many thanks. I had a CPC 464 back in the day, still have the games although the machine is long gone!

Just bought an emulator on ebay, i`d highly recommend it to all you classic 80`s gameplay heads..... like me!!!

My favourites.... Sorcery, Way of the Exploding Fist and Football Manager!

  • Great video, nice one

  • @SPEAKTRUTHALWAYS music is good u have bad taste

  • shame about the music

  • Glad you Included head over Heels, no 8-bit game collection would be complete without that. The same goes for Elite, but I could never get my head round it so Elite's not in my personal top 20.

  • Does anyone remember a game that was simply titled one or the one at all? Could someone please do a review and explain the plot?

as I used to play this game when

I was a kid but I never understood the premise of the game at all

  • @Xyphoe Nope but I will. Whats an emulator you recommend? I do most of my emulation on my PSP but I doubt there is an emulator for Amstrad for it. I would appreciate an emulator recommendation and a few roms to start out with :).

  • Nice to put a voice to the vids mate - hopefully you'll pitch up more often with a voiceover as I think it makes the videos a lot more personal and interesting.

Yep, a top 20 list is subjective that's for sure but you've covered some classics that I had myself back in the day such as Batman, Navy Seals, Shinobi etc....... look forward to watching part 2!
