This Ivory Leg - Mike Pawlicki

This is track two of an acoustic EP I recorded during one of my recording classes in college. It hath been named "Finding Inspiration in Viking Howls."

The EP is sort of a concept album revolving around the band Mastodon. I wrote a song for each of their five full-length albums and chose a lyric from each album to be the song titles. I then wrote the song based on how that particular lyric made me feel.

This song represents their second album, Leviathan.

I hope you at least get something out of this because I had a lot of fun writing/recording these.

Some songs are rather quiet, sorry for that.

This one is easily my favorite. It's like Ahab, himself, opened a rift from the pages of Moby Dick and plays the little solo around 1:30, hah. I'm really happy with how this one turned out.
