Okay maybe this is just good ole Max Mosley and the FIA doing their time honoured (and boring) trick ... propose something OUTRAGEOUS, waste everyones time and money and then agree on a "compromise".

Standardised F1 engines. This seems real smart when some of your biggest customers are Mercedes, BMW, Toyota, Renault, Honda etc etc. Jeeez.
