Lenear Royalty - I Found My Young Love - 20 years ago

1984 was a great time as I embarked upon a journey that started my interest the more in music. Dr. Martin Luther King High School is my high school. Our band teacher, Mr. Harvey Burton is the most talented, caring and father figure even known. Jimmy Tillman brought so much passion to educating us on the history on "Blues". He indeed opened my eyes to another realm of music. To my friends, Darnell Harvey, Herman Pruitt, Kim Anderson, Brenda Brown and Curtis James; we truly blended so well with this album project called, "The Kids From King" to be youthful people. I wrote this song called, "Young Love" and for a young person I have always wanted to find that someone I could marry one day and live together forever. Nearly 20 years later, I was connected to my young love, "LaVella (Dupart) Harris". Wow I remember seeing her at Dunbar H.S. and I nearly was stun. 2 years after being in the serve a friend invited me to church at Liberty Temple Full Gospel Church in Chicago, IL and I saw her again, my little heart exploded when I saw her again!!! We were married by Apostle Clifford E. & Pastor Denise M. Turner. Within 20 years we've been through some rocky & challenging times, yet through it all God continues to restore us and refresh the very 1st day of us being married. Til this day I still feel like it was the very 1st time I saw her. I mean my wife is so beautiful and when she walks, talks, and move about, my heart has the marks of her foot prints. We have three adorable children to whom I made a promise to myself as a child, I would never leave my children and today Lanise, Lanere and Layna is my everything. I so look forward to my family time. This is my life. To my love (LaVella) , to the woman whose imagery captures the very core of my soul,.............Happy Anniversary!!!!!!!!!! Your boo, sweet potato, cream pie, honey bun, etc, etc (I can't tell it all ) husband Lenear Royalty.

Note: Take a very close look at the end of the video, our today video merges completely like our picture nearly 20 years ago. I did not plan this to happen. WOW we still end up in each others arms the same way. This is why it feels like the very first day because my mind remembers that moment I found my "YOUNG LOVE"
