Well done, Mr, Edwards, Well Done!

Nice! Joplin would be proud. But you forgot to take your watch off!

Wow, that was excellent!! Best rendition of Nonpareil that I've ever heard!

Guess what? That's how ragtime was played. It was published in a simpler form so that teenage girls could play it.

It isn't meant to be "God Save the Queen"; it's meant to be "My Country, 'Tis of Thee" -- same music but with American patriotic words. The reason for its inclusion is obvious to anyone who knows a thing or two about this rag.

Oh my, please tell me this is a hunking large chunk of sarcasm? There is one point of uncertainty at 3.55, and still manages to get the right note - for a public performance this is damned impressive! And this guy is a very decent bloke and incredibly helpful and knowledgable. Now do your homework before bedtime and stop procrastinating :)

Beautiful. Just beautiful.
I think this is a very fine performance. Joplin isn't "easy". Don't be fooled by adolescent renditions of "Maple Leaf".This music requires an experienced performer, capable of excercising restraint and nuance. Schnabel said of Mozart- too easy for children, too difficult for artists. To an extent, this is true of classical ragtime. (Don't crucify me because I'm not comparing the two composers). The point is, the vast majority of pianists can't realise a Joplin melody. Mr. Edwards can.
