WCW Halloween Havoc
Sunday, October 29th 1995
Joe Louis Arena
Detroit, Michigan

Thats right, Sabu in WCW! From Halloween Havoc 1995, I present to you a really watered down match between Mr. JL (AKA: Jerry Lynn) vs Sabu w/ The Original Sheik.

This would probably be the only reason to even watch this really, really bad PPV unless you want to laugh your ass off at the purely ridiculous booking. I mean WTF is a Monster Truck Match? Are we honestly supposed to believe that The Giant's Monster Truck actually went off the roof with him in it? Or that He actually fell off the roof, and not only survived but showed up later that night to wrestle Hogan for the World title? ... Anywho enjoy this PG-13 match.

  • @jesseamato: No, no, no. Sabu bailed on ECW right before ECW The Three Way Dance on 4/18/95, and Paul E. "fired" Sabu in absentia. Sabu wrestled in Japan, the NWC promotion in Las Vegas and spent a little over a month in WCW, including this show. He made his final WCW appearance on the Nitro the night after this show and returned to ECW at November to Remember 95.

  • @azelsyklone: The YETI~! debuted on the 10/23/95 Nitro, six nights before this PPV.

What do you consider to be "realistic?" The Godfather, whose gimmick is something that is ILLEGAL in 49 states and only legal in a very restricted section of one, Nevada? (HBO's "Cathouse: The Series" takes place in one of the few legal brothels in the U.S.) Val Venis? The bullshit NWO?

  • @killofalifetime: Lynn didn't debut in ECW until September 5, 1997 at the IBEW Hall in Waltham, MA in a loss to Chris Candido. He made his ECW Arena debut at As Good As It Gets, 9/20/97, in a loss to the debuting Justin Credible. That match was #1 in the series of about 25,000 they'd have against each other over the following 3+ years.

  • @Outofstep81: The Cactus/Maxx-Nastys Chicago Street Fight was at Spring Stampede. The Broadstreet Bully match where Cactus/Sullivan d. the Nastys for the WCW World Tag Team Titles was at Slamboree.

  • @Elementa2006: He rescued Sting from the Horsemen at Capital Combat on May 19, 1990.

  • @PFlaw317: He and the Tazmaniac defeated the Public Enemy (RIP) for the ECW World Tag Team Titles in the first ever Tables Match at ECW Double Tables. Pegasus/Malenko d. Sabu/Taz for the belts at Return of the Funker. Sabu left before the Three Way Dance.

  • @Ginghar: They had a rather violent feud in MLW in 2003.

  • @westpac0187: No, because if there had never been a Sheik than Sabu and RVD would have never gotten into the wrestling business.

  • @xCeRTiFiieDx Couldn't agree more

  • You know your company fucking sucks when you only give 5 minutes to Jerry Lynn (err.. Mr JL) and Sabu.
