Engagement distance is different in boxing because they have nothing to worry about except punches. Therefore can let their hands fly more freely without fear of being taken down, clinched, kicked, kneed, or elbowed. Both sports have quality.

Oscar and Manny beats UFC 91 with 1.25 million ppv buys generating $70 million. boxers making money that UFC fighters don't come even close to making. Oscar and mayweather is still the highist breaking ppv bout to date untill Floyd and Manny fight witch is what the world wants to c. boxing and UFC is both here to stay.

I heard Filipinos are moving towards MMA (younger gen, older won't hear of it). Apparently it was because of Mark Munoz (I have a few Filipino friends). Plus all over asia are more into MMA, China, Korea, Japan etc. Brazillians, but I'm not sure about europeans? I know England and Sweden is into it but not sure about others. Australia is getting into it to.

immortalsyn83 if boxing didn't have any fan base it would have been dead years ago dispirit the population of mma. u have boxing fans who hate mma and u have mma fans who hate boxing bcuz both fans don't bother with the other sport and don't have any clue as to what their talking about as too y they think their sport is better bcuz they don't even bother to take time to study the other sport. again I love both UFC and boxing and regardless boxing haves today's error of fans just like UFC period

mbritt1818 its u who needs to get educated and calling us assholes shows ur true colors. there are ppl who love UFC and boxing" like myself but u also have two different types of ppl who speak the truth about the smarts and skills of both mma and boxing. mma is no doubt an great sport but boxing is still a bigger sports with big numbers shows that ppl just like UFC, still love boxing. go to my earlier post about what would happened if two worlds collided in one another.
