The Future of Earmark Transparency: November Meeting of the Transparency Advisory Committee

The word "earmarks" is on the tip of everyone's tongue as the incoming House leadership decides whether to restrict, ban, and/or impose additional transparency requirements on the earmarks process. To consider the challenges to this process, the Advisory Committee on Transparency, a project of the Sunlight Foundation, convened a panel of respected earmark experts in a public panel held on November 15, 2010 on Capitol Hill.

We invite your ideas, comments, and expressions of interest for future meetings at act(at)sunlightfoundation.com

Panelists:
*Daniel Schuman, Director, Advisory Committee on Transparency, Policy Council for the Sunlight Foundation, and Moderator
*Steve Ellis, Citizens Against Government Waste
*Jim Harper, Washington Watch and the Cato Institute
