This is a completely new build we did for a woman whose house was in such poor condition it left us with little other options but to deconstruct her old house and rebuild her a brand new one. The project took us 7 days of carpentry work, with 4 days of foundation digging and pouring prior to the footage shown here for a total of 11 days of work after the old house was fully deconstructed.

All 3 Home Repair crews that serve McCreary, Clay, Owsley, Rockcastle, and Jackson Counties were involved in this project. Nothing could have been done without the generous support of our donors, if you'd like to help make projects like this possible, whether through Donations, or to Volunteer and be more intimately involved in making things like this happen, visit our website at http://www.christianapp.org/

  • Is the music a jazz fusion take on Jungle Hijinx from Donkey Kong Country for the SNES? XD

  • @Kizales yes, it is all of those things. I didn't make the music though, it's from OCReMix

  • @robertmontanez it's not a competition. Also we are all semi-skilled volunteers who had never really done something on this scale before. Additionally most of the days we spent at this site the temperatures ranged in the 0-20*F range so it was rather difficult to stay warm and safe while working.

  • who can y live in wooden house... i never anderstant the americans

  • first of all u are missing metal strapping's from the wall to the roof (in case of strong wind) second sub-floor will rot sins its directly over the soil and no ventilation in the foundation (no air movement = rot in max 5 years +no ventilation on the roof is a bad idea)

and third A weeping tile is a porous pipe used for underground drainage. have u ever learn about it??? (basic's is a Bitch isn't it lol )

  • @themefund Hey! Great looking house! I'm looking to build my own home for me and my wife and I was interested in knowing about how much this house cost to build? If you don't mind me asking.

  • great job

  • Of course you build such a hut in such a short time, and when 90% of houses are like these in US every time wind blows they fly away lol.
