that very first bolt u took off i do not have that one on my mustang. i took the strap bolts off and the filler neck bolts off. the tank shakes a little bit but just doesn't want to come down.

@1aauto Its on a toyota mr2, i want to relocate the fuel cap above the original position on the quarter glass section. do you think it will be a big job?

Pump is installed but wont turn on? I reset it with the button in the hatch, but still no dice. Could it be the wiring, maybe a relay or a fusible link?

@snodz86 You may want to check the wiring to see if the pump has power going to it.

i have an 88 mustang gt. i took out all the bolts like you said and had jack under gas tank but the tank will just not come down! i can wiggle it a little bit and the filler neck will come out but the tank just seems like its stuck? any suggestions? maybe a prybar and just let loose??
