This was my first day at NAU. I began my freshman year during Fall 2009 and will finish my schooling May 2012. I now do several video diaries to help prospective students get a real feel for college life.

Can I just say that this video is really embarrassing for me? I've kept it public to allow high school students / college freshman to understand that once I was as freaked out as they are.

It. gets. better!

  • Hi, are the Reilly dorms good?? What would be best for freshman?

  • @AbeChi101 Reilly is totally fine. I'd pick Allen or Wilson.

  • lol i would want the walls to be very thick haha theyd think i was talking to myself(;

    Trust me, I always tried to be as quiet as possible. Luckily, my neighbors were way louder than me.

    No worries. Everyone gets nervous about college. This video is a perfect example, but later videos have me mellowing out quite a bit.

    College is exciting, but it's also a time of transition. So I recommend being prepared. One tip I recommend is to study! There quite a difference academically between college and high school. :)

  • @roxannelovesthestars Thank you :)

    All your videos help a lot and have eased so much anxiety for me.

    I am going to be attending NAU this next fall and I'm a little nervous, but it's videos like yours that calm me down and actually get me excited about attending college.

    It depends on how you develop your schedule. I think my freshman year I had 4 on Monday, 3 on Tuesday/Thursday, 3 on Wednesday, and one on Friday.

    This year I have one 2-hour class Monday and one Wednesday and I have 4 classes on Tuesday and Thursday.

    Navigating campus is a breeze if you are prepared. At orientation, I recommend going on the tour. I also recommend getting to know the bus route.
