  • Hey Bob , I was wondering... I was watching How to make a lava lamp the easy way. I have a way to . Water in a cup. Then Oil . Then you put salt and then the salt will carry the oil to the top giving it the effect of a lava lamp. And here is my question. Very simple. If i don't have food colouring can I use like a coloured marker or juice to colour it . By the way love your videos. Keep em coming :)

  • @cinci299 Somw markers will probably work, but others will not color the water. Food coloring is very readily available and works best. Hope that helps.

  • If you put food coloring in the warm water, would it cause the fog to change colors?

  • @Kinzlover33 No, when the water is vaporized it does not carry the color with it to any extent that you can see it. I wish it did - that would be cool!

  • which is colder? liquid nitrogen or dry ice?

  • @MrMariofan13 Liquid nitrogen is quite a bit colder at -320 F and dry ice at -109 F.
