From KETC, LIVING ST. LOUIS Producer Jim Kirchherr profiles the life of Edward Butch O'Hare. A few months after Pearl Harbor, O'Hare shot down five Japanese planes in a single battle to save his aircraft carrier. He was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor and became a national hero. O'Hare International Airport in Chicago was named as a tribute to him.
Very well done. What happened to his child?

Great video. From the display in the terminal at ORD you'd never know he personally had no Chicago ties. It was all his father. Learned something new about my crew base!

Well done!. It is so very important for every succeeding generation to know. The core values of those days remain unchanged today, they are reflected in those that serve, be it Civillian or Military. Respect. Family. Duty. Honour. Courage.
That is all.
