According to the International Crime Victimization Survey, the violent crime rate in England and Wales now stands at twice the rate of that in the U.S. Australia suffers 3 times the violent crime rate seen in the USA.
Since the gun ban in Australia, violent crime has shot up 400%........I would like to compare Japans crime rate before and after.

The British government recently reported that gun crime in England and Wales nearly doubled in the four years from 1998-99 to 2002-03. The serious violent crime rate soared by 64%, and overall violent crime by 118%.

That's not exactly true. A criminal can hurt/kill one person in about 3 seconds or so with a single-shot firearm. That same criminal can hurt/kill four or so people in a spray of gunfire with a simi.auto. Statistics also support the fact that in areas where guns are banned - the crime rates are much lower (Japan for example).

Banning any type of firearm is stupid, criminals will still smuggle them in, and good citizens will not be able to defend themselves

I don't COMPLETELY disagree with your comment. Though I personally don't like guns - I support the right to own firearms. What I COMPLETELY object to is SIMI, and fully automatic weapons being WIDELY available. No one I know goes hunting with an assault riffle. Assault riffles are manufactured WITH ONE purpose - to DESTROY the human body. You can defend yourself with a single-shot firearm - you don't need a spray of gun fire! Simis and autos can quickly take out many lives. That's what I appose.

As far as I'm concerned - High-powered KILLER weapons should be OBLITERATED from the entire face of the earth. Automatic or simi-automatic weapons are meant to do ONE thing - kill. The MAJOR problem in the middle-east is too many people with too many weapons. Besides the fact they still kill over religion. Do you want the streets filled with people carrying simi auto riffles? Guns kill, and the more there are - the more killers there will be.

Well again we disagree...lol....I just think everyone should be able to defend themselves and their family. There should be no reason whatsoever that a law abiding citizen shouldn't be able to own a gun for protection.
