Trying viewing it on a different computer or monitor. Often cheap LCD monitors and budget laptops have quite poor colour rendering.

I've got two laptops here, a MacBook Pro and a cheap Acer. On the MBP I can see all the shapes and numbers clearly, but on the Acer some of them are harder to distinguish.

If in doubt go and see your optician or optometrist. FYI it's called the Ishihara test.

Pilots always have to have perfect colour vision for the job. In fact to be a military pilot one has to have 20/20 vision without needing glasses or contact lenses.

Yes it is the Ishihara test.

I guess for anyone working on the railways. Seeing the difference between a red signal and green signal would be rather important.

I had to pass the same test, when I applied for a job with a large telco as a wireman. Because of the wiring colour-codes used.

For anyone viewing this and thinking they might be colour blind. Trying viewing it on a different computer or monitor.

I've just viewed it on a MacBook Pro and could see all the shapes and numbers perfectly, but when I viewed it on a cheap Acer laptop, some of the shapes where quite hard to distinguish at all.

Also decent CRT monitors tend to have better colour rendering than LCDs, especially the CCFL backlit cheap ones, as found in budget laptops.
