60163 'Tornado' on the Talisman, Colton Junction 7/2/09

my first chance to see tornado running on the mainline, in its new livery of BR Apple green, also the loco has been fitted with a rimless chinmey since i last saw the locomotive. here we see it hauling the Talisman just south of york at Colton Junction, on a bitterly cold saturday morning, the remainder of the snow left from sunday - tuesday blizzard conditions really makes tornado stand out from the background, a truely awesome sight, and sound made by such a wonderful locomotive.

this video is also a Birthday present to a couple of people, one is Mr Adam Ashford, who turns 18 on the 8th feb, also it is to my Younger Brother Joshua, who turned 3 on the same day this was filmed, and he loves his steam trains :P

Well Northstander, I learned something from this video- when filming, stand UPWIND so I don't photograph a mix of water vapor and smoke! =D
