கனவுகள் காணும் வயதில் குழந்தைகள் பிச்சை தட்டை ஏந்த,
தாய் பால் குடிக்கும் வயதில் குப்பை தொட்டியில் நீந்த ,
புத்தகம் தூக்கும் கரங்கள் வெய்யிலில் கற்களை உடைத்து
ஓயா,
தீபத்தை போன்ற பிஞ்சுகள் பாலியல் தொழிலில் இருந்து அணைய

விதை இருந்தும் என்ன பயன் அதை விதைக்க நிலமில்லயே

சிறகுகள் உடைத்து சிறையில் அடைத்து பர பர கிளியே பர பர ,
கணிதம் பேசும் விஞ்ஞானி கொஞ்சம் பாரு பாரு
கற்பினை வாழும் கவிஞனே கொஞ்சம் கேளு கேளு ,

கை கொடு தோழா கை கொடு உன் நாட்டை உதவ கை கொடு ,
இந்த விதைகள் விதைந்து மரமாக .....

Translation:

Seeds

Children begging at the age they should be dreaming
Sleeping in garbage when they should be drinking their mothers' milk.
Hands that should be carrying books, breaking stones in the sun.
