@rugersoldier Why? Because this album was never imported to the USSR officially and was not issued in the USSR. After USSR boke up, the state record label 'Melodia' did issue "Sticky Fingers", but, again, without any license. It was marked 'recorded from the broadcast'.
Generally speaking, "The Rolling Stones" were not prohibited in the USSR, they were rather 'not recommended to listen'. And some other singers and bands were prohibited. "The Smokie' were progibited, can you immagine that?!

Great song... In early 1980s in Soviet Union we bought a contraband "Sticky Fingers" and enjoyed "Wild Horses" days and nights... The disk was so damn expensive for us soviet students but it was worth every penny we paid for it...
