ESL Games can be used to waste time... or ESL games can be used to help teach English and put more of an emphasis on Conversation. I use ESL CONVERSATION GAMES in my ESL class every day and in almost every lesson. Since I started to incorporate conversation games into my class; my students have turned into great students who enjoy learning - because the ESL conversation games makes it fun! • Nice job. Loved your last sentence "It kills a lot of time and it's easy to do".

I'm teaching 11-17 year-olds in Saigon and I'll try anything that will kill time and keep me from killing them, the bloody, disrespectful, little buggers!

  • I see this strategy more related to writing than for conversation. Sorry.

  • "It kills a lot of time"- what a silly comment

In teaching, you must have clear objectives and maximise your time in order to achieve them.

  • Would be better to give them a proper educational and enjoyable lesson and do time wasting activities like that for homework.

  • I don't see how these games invoke (note spelling) conversation.
