I guess no one will be selecting that school to commit a random act of violence. All of the kids in that area of the country grow up around guns in the home so I don't think it will be disruptive or sensational to the kids. The teachers who will participate will be receiving advanced firearms and crises response training. What's the problem?

JeffDougherty58 - the problem is that firearms have NO PLACE IN THE CLASSROOM! Not in the hands of students, not in the hands of teachers. Doesn't it seem that allowing teachers to be armed to protect themselves against students who may be armed is not only counterproductive, it also makes for a very unhealthy learning atmosphere!

FinalFantasyTux - It isn't propaganda, it's fact! Sad fact at that. You can just google "HIV travel" and you'll find plenty of reliable sources confirming what's in the pamphlet. The information I found had been left over from a seminar the woman had been at which was all about women and HIV. It wasn't just stuff she was passing out on the streets!

And I agree that HIV should be refused entry and was suprised that the US was making moves towards allowing HIV patients entry.

Take Mongolia which is on the second list, the country is nearly free of the infection (like 25), 2 African men brught it into the country, if they were refused them in the first place they would't have spread into the public, people should not be allowed to put the public health of a country at risk.

UTubeTulip - I actually agree with you on this topic. I think if a country has little or no record of a certain disease, they should have every right to try to protect their inhabitants from being exposed to it. However, I don't understand why the U.S. has these policies considering HIV has already established itself here. Keeping HIV-positive foreigners out won't make HIV go away in this country.

@Englishteapot29- I believe that when they say AIDS doesn't discriminate they are more aptly referring to the HIV virus not discriminating on it's host, ie HIV virus will only get gay guys, or only black men or only asians and hispanics.... Anyone can get HIV from Anyone else if they aren't protected.

It is true that since the late 1970's there was a ban placed on HIV positive people coming to the USA . Sex is not the only way that a person can contract the virus. Why does everyone just assume that if you speak of HIV/AIDS your referring to the homosexual population? There are other people outside of the homosexual lifestyle that are living with HIV and to just assume that it's only a homosexual problem is to show that your ignorance speaks before your intellect.
