This is so odd. She's making a documentary about how her own album was so great? Haha, how self-centered and bizarre.

@crassmonkey18 minor success? "Exile in Guyville" made it to one of the best albums of the 1990s! And it looks like you only have her self-titled album, and hate it. I don't think she had airplay in '93. Try ALL of her older stuff. (EIG, W-S, WCSE) before you judge her about one song, especially one of her "naughty" songs.

Has anyone told Liz Phair that she's irrelevant now and no one gives a shit? I hope someone get's on that soon. It's pretty pathetic to make a documentary about yourself, re-releasing an album that had minor success and ignoring the fact that you haven't had a hit in a long time.
I hope other one-hit-wonders don't think it's a good idea to make a self-serving movie about how awesome they were when they had that one song on the radio.

What happened? You didnt want to conform to the mainstream? F%$#$M! you did what you wanted to do, Keep sending the postcards !

People should buy this record because it seems Liz can't even afford to pay for screen capturing software and is either above piracy or unable to find a serial on Google.

@longview1987 no crap. I looked on Amazon, eBay. no luck. Checked Liz Phair's site- it looks like it's getting a facelift/makeover/whatever, so there isn't really anything there except a link to buy the Exile in Guyville reissue off iTunes, and the trailer to "Redux".

Can anyone post a listing of who the hell these guys are, aside from John Cusack? I can only identify. uh.. i think that's Nash or whosit from Urge Overkill with the long hair.. is that Steve Albini at 1:43 ("there was a particularly insulting slant on the Chicago scene...")? Who's the one ".. I love you fucking indie guys! You made the record for how much?" - hilarious.

does anyone have the whole doc, or know where on the net i can get it?

Thanks for posting this. It's nice to see...

@limeginger ~ idk, i still don't get the whole "you got big, so now you suck" mantra. i like liz's stuff after exile, i even liked her so-called sell out stuff with "the matrix".
i'm not of the indie crowd much, i don't get the narrow mindedness, much like when pete seeger wanted to cut off bob dylan cuz he was playing electric at a folk festival. most indie is a bore i like liz cuz she's original. i don't care about indie labels or cliques, which is actually a contradiction of itself.
i think it's cool how she doesnt just show positive feedback that one guy at the end." you have become what we hated all along." i have a lot of hope for the new album and that it wont be like her last two.
