Given two healthy men with two healthy chainsaws, a tractor, and a truck (a typical golf course approach), this operation would've taken no less than a full day of major physical exertion. The cleanup would've taken another full day, or more. Grinding the stump, add another day.
The "tree monster" had it done in less than four minutes. Done. Gone.
Tomorrow morning, given another 5 minutes or so, the "stump eater," a machine similar in size and prowess to the tree monster, will destroy the last evidence of its existence while, at the same time, its remains are loaded into a truck and carted off into the netherworld.
Those of us observing are amazed. Maybe we've been deprived and led a sheltered existence, but as we see it repeated for the 100+ trees that have to be removed, we agree that we've never seen anything like it. We're kinda impressed.

  • that'd be nice, being the neighbours looking over the fence, and seeing a tree walk around the yard.

  • Ha! There WERE a few cases of amazement. Looking across the trees from adjoining fairways, at times all you could see was the tree, walking around by itself. Pretty strange sight... :-)

  • amazing!! what is the model of that machine? and the grip? please somebody help me, I need that.

  • Hi Internani,

I was amazed, myself. I've never seen anything like it! The machine, equipped as you see it, is a Tigercat Model MT726D. I'll reply to your seperate message shortly, with as much further info as I can gather.

  • chuchu7s, read the description. They did it for a Golf Course, what a waste considering they didn't use the wood, sounds like they ground it up and dumped it.

It also says they took 100+ trees. How does that make you feel? poor squirrels, lol

  • Why did they take that tree out ?

Trees are for beauty and to keep us cool

in the summer. Poor Tree poor squirrls

for get the machine I look pass that and

keep the tree. What do you think? I love

    all kind of trees.

  • Yep, you're right on the nose. Given the choice between holding a chain saw and sitting in a climate controlled cab, it's no contest. :-)
