We know you want the numbers and we're not going to waste your time. Neither is Nissan. Its 2009 GT-R hits 60 mph in 3.3 seconds, quicker than the last Dodge Viper, Corvette Z06 and Porsche 911 Turbo we tested. Keep your foot pinned, and after another tap on the upshift paddle it will clear the quarter-mile in 11.6 seconds at more than 120 mph.

The GTR is chock full of new tech and innovative design. Particularity its drivetrain which is completely new to the auto world. Unlike american cars that typically has a big heavy and long driveshaft , the GTR has very lightweight short link shafts (yep more than one) also the car has two small diffs which adds up to more HP being kept and transmitted threw out the drivetrain and hence the wheels. this is why the GTR can get away with Moddest HP yet has great torque and performance.
As far as power ratings, No Auto manufacture rates there HP at the rear wheels. The either rate at the engine or at the transmission. Some (very few) will rate at the differential. Hopefully you understand what this mean, but incase you dont. HP is loss threw the drivetrain on its way to the wheels. anywhere from 15 to 24 percent. This is why power ratings can be off at the dyno's. in the end torque is most important not HP especially with heavy cars.

I only speak the truth..
3900lbs and only 400whp... power to weight ratio is not that good, its actually terrible compared to the ZR1 for instance.
3300lbs @ 505whp -so this "is" a BS review.
By the way this is quite different from there other production car they tested... so how can that be?
No it's not that good can't even beat a GTR's time of 1:19.7... ZR1 outside American hands and it's all BS!
