Existing attic insulation was a pitifully low R-3 with no insulation between the unheated crawl space and the living space. Closed-cell polyurathane foam was applied on all walls and ceilings adjoining living space, then covered with fiberglas bats. The attic was treated with R-60 cellulose blow-in insulation. Work was performed by Superior Insulation of Utah. See www.SolarHomeMakeover.com for more information.
