In October 2008 my wife and I stayed at Marysville for a couple of days. We thought it was one of the most beautiful little towns we had seen on our driving holiday from Queensland. Apologies for the poor quality - this was taken with my Blackberry.

It is so sad that this town has been destroyed by the bushfires and our heartfelt condolences go to the family and friends of those who perished or those who have lost their homes and livliehoods. Please support the victims by donating to the Australian Red Cross (https://www.redcross.org.au/Donations/onlineDonations.asp)

  • What is it you suggest? We all live in the bigger cities? What so we can over crowding like London? And what would you say to people s families when London was bombed in WW2."Well you shouldnt live there, should live in the country.Marysville is an old loggers town, bit hard to do logging in a city. Marysville was a beautiful town in with some of the friendliest people Ive met. RIP to those who didnt make it and stay strong to those who are trying to rebuild their lives, your courage is inspiring.
