Actually, Obama has been doing a much better job of enforcing immigration law than an of his predecessors. What he really needs is a law with teeth that meets out a prison sentence for folks who hire illegals, rather than just pay a fine.

@Hallaran it is pathetic. If you dont like other nations and dont want to see them around - ignore international made products: dont buy chinese goods, japanese cars,etc.
But it is global economy nowdays, you cant just lock up borders and develop ONLY with your resources and people. Look, we, USSR, tried and it didnt really work well :)

immigrants do the jobs you white guys think are awful "working for mcdonald, street sweeping, driving the bus, driving cabs" but when banks stoped lending money you white guys were put down by the "office job" and all you have left to do is "awful jobs" which you don't want to do. how many times you see an immigrant working for the police? or the state departement? or at the bank?

Know what would solve the problem? Make it easier to LEGALLY immigrate into here.
If more people are here legally, less people are getting hired at below minimum wages, so it's easier for American manual laborers to compete with them.
