Wild Swarm and Pheromones

This is a video showing a wild bee swarm on our Carmel Lavender farm. Carmel Lavender is located in Carmel Valley on Tassajara Road out by the Zen Center.

This year, we have been blessed with visits from several wild bee swarms. The latest visit became a perfect opportunity to discuss bees, the way they communicate and swarm using pheromones, and the impact of pesticides and synthetic pheromone pesticides on the wild bee population.

I hope you enjoy this video as much as I enjoyed making it. Working with bees is truly a gift.
