im not being funny but every horse is unoredictable so what if she "forgot" to take her foot out of the other stirrup deal with it, the horse wasnt in oain was it? no.

i take both feet out of the stirrup then swing my right leg over. it's fast, easy, and you wont get drug if the horse takes off and you fall.

My friend did this too for like 5 minutes. But it was a merry-go-round horse. I'm quite embarrassed of him. lol :P

@OhYouWhore I take my foot out of the left stirrup. if the horse takes off and you still have your foot in the stirrup then your in trouble.

So proud of my wife!

@pittbullsrock i was taught both feet out.. i think it more incase if a horse takes off you dont have one foot left in the stirrup but its personal choice... i find it much easier both feet out
-
ummm i didnt learn to take both of my feet outta the stirrups....oh well idc how much safer it is i ride unbroke and greenbroke horses all the time and the way i dismount hasnt made me hurt myself...*knock on wood*

@OnTheBitPonies I never got taught that and I've been to 3 riding schools and 2 people that owned horses? Oh well, maybe it's just where you live?
I ride in the US and we always take bothe feet out in case the horse takes off you don't get your foot caught and drug. Safe practice.
