Dom Nozzi mountain bikes Heil Valley Ranch, Boulder CO

Tough, long uphill with lots of big, sharp rocks on the trail. Spectacular views of valley from Overlook at midpoint. Dom rode this trail on October 20, 2010. It features extremely enjoyable downhill back to the trailhead. I had multiple encounters with flocks of big wild turkeys. This bike loop is 8 miles from Boulder. Excellent singletrack riding through beautiful ponderosas with great views in all directions. This is a fantastic ride through the foothills just north of Boulder that offers good singletrack riding with a stiff climb to start the ride. The views from the overlook are stunning. There is 7 miles on singletrack and one mile on doubletrack.
