Simona Takes 4th at St Pete

Simona races Tony Kannan hard for a 4th place finish at St Pete. After a huge 5 car crash and 4 more restarts, the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg Dario pulls out the win. She gained 13 spots and pushed Tony across the line for 4th.

@kukkelf1: I wouldn't say that she's bad on ovals, it's 2 things:

1. She doesn't have a lot of experience on ovals, and

2. The team is not very strong (as far as HP is concerned)

But on the road courses, LOOK OUT!!! She's pretty strong!!! And that's where the talented drivers really shine!

@schumacher180racing Indeed, and don't forget however she isn't a bad driver, she SUCKS on the ovals.. And Danica never sucked on ovals... Even when she was driving for Rahal Letterman which wasn't a top team as well she was good... If Rahal Letterman didn't made a mistake with saying she wasn't having enough fuel onboard during the 2005 Indianapolis 500, she would have gone flatout and would have won the '500 in her debut year.. Still a shame because that cost her the win.

@kukkelf1 Totally agree with you, it's just the second time she finished ahead of DP. And why do ppl talk about my favorite pilot compared to SDS, where this video is about? Don't forget SDS finished ahead all AA cars ans the most Penske and TCGR cars as well... Why only talking about DP vs SDS? We all know DP has more experience, more talent, and more potential. If SDS wins this year, then she has a better 2nd year then DP has in '06. But then she still needs to finish 9th in the FL standings.

She's a good driver, but she didn't pass anyone. She just finished 4th because of the crash in turn 1. She was having all her push to passes left while she was already behind Kanaan for a while, in my opinion you don't have the winning mentality. I don't even understand why everyone is comparing her to the experienced Danica. Danica finished higher in all the 3 championships last year (FL driver standings, oval and road course championships)

DP has chances to win the '500, while SDS doesn't.

This chick is good, I listened to her on the scanner. Gets along with her team. Does not whine all race like Danica.

@Autumn6 Over 6 years Danica accomplished that. For Danica it was circumstances that put her on a team that was good at the time. Rahal Letterman had the powerful honda engine. She then got put on Andretti, another powerful team. Simona is dealing with KV Racing, look at there track record.
