  • This was an temporary fix while my mate was in hospital, yes your method works but while the intruder is trapped inside the corridor it may cause stress to your birds. This method deters intruders while birds fly open hole

  • you could simply just had a corrider inside the whole which has a drop.

if its a bird it can fly out.

if its a cat its stuck :P

  • i don't understand.... somebody explain me please... cheers

  • It is called a cat flap as it deters cats from getting into your loft. It is just balanced enough so that a pigeon can land on it, if a cat or similar predator tries the flap both collapses and closes

  • Yeah, I'd like to see a video of the cat trying to get in.

  • the whole could drop out the bottom of the shed or somthing.

but yeh this is better was just thinking.

  • wow thats so ccol then no animals can get in and eat the birds i just might have to try that i like theres little birds that come to my bird house but i get worried about crows tring to eat the babies

  • great idea, thanks for it!

  • I let them out of the hole for a few days then shut the main doors at feeding time, they soon learned how to bet back in for food.

Pigeons are very easy to train and they also tend to watch others and copy them
