This is the introduction for Youtube Japanese classroom. I am a teacher in a certain high school, and some of the staff there have asked me to teach them Japanese. Well, while I am grading papers, I thought I might entertain their requests FOR FREE! Also, to my beloved Japanese Club students, this is for you as well.

If there are any comments, questions, ideas, or criticisms, please feel free to mail my account. Thank you, and enjoy!

  • i have one doubt, kyoshi or sensei are supose to be the same thing, right?

  • Well kyoshi is an actual title. Sensei is a general term of respect for any professional, such as a doctor, lawyer, teacher, etc.

  • oh and btw ( not a critisim ) but just for my learning purpose, the proper sentence for the I am American, would be "Watashi wa Amerika-jin desu." correct? ty =)

  • Yes, you are right, but Japanese would understand the other one and I omitted "jin" simply because I would have to explain it and it would thus complicate the lesson. I'll inject it later.

  • If you want to make me happy, subscribe to s7rugg1e! I don't know who he is, but he's funny!

  • thanks for this class :D

i hope you can continue uploading new classes :D

    :D :D

  • I really am trying to find some time to do so, but I have classes of my own and BOY are they challenging me.

  • I think you should have written

    "daisukina nihongo sensei"

suki is a na adjective... :)

  • Nice (you have a little accent, but it doesn't matter)!

  • domo arigato gozaimasu, anata wa watashi no daisuki nihon-go sensei desu :D ( hope that made some sense)

  • I'm extremely upset with the language options that we have for most of our schools in the U.S. I know the reason for us only having those select few in the middle (junior) schools/High schools but they should open up more options for those folks who wish to learn out of an interest in that language-German/Greek/Japanese (other Asian languages) We have enough Chinese Americans for Mandarin classes/ASL classes should also be an option at H.S. I can sign-Asian chicks are hot & a Coldplay song.

  • Arigato Gozimasu Senpai. Surnames before first name "Watashi wa Genki Desu?" that you put this on here. You're a very friendly and informative individual. I've retained a small amount of the Japanese language from hours upon hours of anime ;l) sadly my ability to retain knowledge (even with constant study) is very poor. My pronunciation is even worse. Watashi believe I'll be picking up that Rosetta Stone program because I can't afford lessons from the college in my area.

  • This a great tutorial. Thank you.

  • how d u learn japa

  • thanks

  • Download the font from Microsoft and enable the Language Bar in Windows XP and learn how to use it. Not sure about other platforms.
