A pinion gear is what is fixed onto your motor's rotor (the axle through it). It turns the spur gear, and that turns the wheels. You can change your spur and pinion gears (pinion is often easiest and cheapest), which will change the overall gear ratio. Few teeth (T) on a pinion gives great acceleration in a low gear but low speed. Lots of teeth (T) means great top speed but rubbish acceleration. Medium gives medium of both. You change the pinion to suit the motor.

hi just one thing, people talk about pinion and stuff, what is a pinion and what advantage does it have? im new to this :)
thanks

On the car? there's a little black bracket at the back with a hole that the antenna tube fits in, bring the antenna wire up through that hole, then you can use thread or wire to put down the antenna tube and pull the antenna through, then use the cap to hold it at the top. Then you can push the tube into the hole on the bracket. DO NOT TRIM THE ANTENNA.

how do you put the antenne on it?

Yeah, for $100 more you can get a Traxxas Slash or a little more than that a Losi Desert Truck or Team Associated B4RS. My HBX Max 4 broke in half the 2nd day I had it....literally broke in half. Great for a child, but it's cheap and one little ding will bite the dust. You can do better than this....unless of course you are getting it for a little one. Oh, and really not even close to 60km/hour by the way.
its proportional????????

I think you may be better to get something with a little more quality to it. You will find yourself spending a lot on new components for this car because it likes to fall apart whitlst you're driving it.
So it depends what you want from it... if you want a reliable model... I would say no. But it you want something to work on to make good... Go for it !!
Hope this helps :-)

Not really, it's a bit slow and weak; you can get way more for your money now.
