You are from the states, i am from the UK. we have different vocabulary.

Inelastic in the UK may mean something different in the states.

its like a large cola in the UK equates to a kids size cola in the states.

@ne1l007 sorry guess i misunderstood you. by inelastic you meant "vertical" as there are many curves that are inelastic that price still influences. elasticity refers to how much influence price places on demand, and vicky vecky

If a good is inelastic in terms of demand. if the price does up the demand wont change.

ill give you an example. Drugs for druggies, as the are addicted to the drugs, if the drug dealer raises the price. demand wont be heavily affected. due to addiction.
