A potentiometer connected to an Arduino microcontroller. The pot's voltage goes through a 10-bit analog to digital converter, and the value is displayed on the LCD.
you should make it so that it selects a certain letter when you turn the pot and when you press a button it goes to the next letter so you can write messages. you could also add 2 other buttons for a backspace and a reset button.
hey i'm doing the same with a hall effect angle sensor. struggling with the coding. Have you managed to get your coding done? I could do with some advise!

can I see your code? Trying to do something similar but with hall effect sensors rather than potentiometers.

Hi!
Is that the 8 or 4 bit library you're using?
