Plenty of road to share, but this dozy mare thinks I should be in the crappy raised cycle lane on the left (usually full of slow numpties and/or parked delivery vans) so decides to show me the error of my ways using her car as the Teaching Method.

Notice the distinct lack of eye contact as I match her speed up the hill, then accelerate to come alongside and look over at her.... funny how the guilty always do that.

  • so if I was driving my car along and decided to use the cycle lane "because the road is full of numpties, delivery vans and pies", you'd go on a fucking rampage! It's a 2 way street (pardon the pun)... fed up of cyclists thinking they own the road and giving other ones a bad name who actually obey the rules. Bet you are one of the tossers with 900000 LEDs which dazzle other road users too

  • @pacer142086 Errrm, I'll try to make it simple for you... so you can understand. Cyclists are allowed to use the road. There's no law which says they must use the cycle lane. If you want to use the cycle lane due to the road being blocked... go right ahead... it's fine, as long as you're on a bike. Is that clear enough?

  • stay in your lane faggot you make other cyclist look bad

  • So because you can't be bothered using the cycle lane you expect traffic to follow you at 6mph? Don't be stupid you muppet, you deserve to get hit.

  • @Dukinfieldcyclist There was nothing wrong with that cycle path, cycling in the middle of the road unneccessarily holds up traffic because cars have to take extra measure in order to overtake. I never claimed the cyclist was breaking any law. And I know cycles do not have to use cycle lanes, I cycle all the time. But what I do know is that common sense tells me not be an asshole, she would have been able to overtake perfectly well if he'd been in the proper part of the road.

  • @jackhwo1 Also how is the car to close to him? She was the one overtaking and it is her responsibily to overtake safely. If she didn't want to overtake, then she shouldn't be on the road. What she SHOULD have done was wait until the bus lane and then overtook as she made about 2/3 meters from the first overtake. When did he hold up traffic? If anything he caught up...

  • @jackhwo1 Haha! I am having some giggles reading the comments on these videos. Cyclists do NOT have to use cycle lanes, if they do not want to. Some are to narrow, some have lots of debris in them, some go to nowhere and some are just plain stupid. If a cyclist wants to use a whole lane to discourage bad overtaking, to overtake slower cyclists or because it is not well maintained, then he/she can! I suggest you go and read the highway code, cyclecraft, roadcraft to learn.

  • First of all, get in the cycle lane, you complete idiot. It's called a cycle lane for a reason, there is nothing wrong with it, the only difference between it and the rest of the road, is that it's safer. Holding up traffic bcause you're a fucking dick will get drivers to rage at you. Second, she did nothing wrong, she was far enough over to overtake you, it was YOUR fault that the car was too close because you weren't in the part of the road designated for bikes.

  • MOVE ALONG PLEASE, NOTHING TO SEE HERE....NOTHING HAPPENS AT ALL.....

  • Where are the slow numpies and and delivery vans? That cycle lane is quite nice acutally...it's plenty wide and the width of the road allows drivers to give you a nice wide berth when passing you. I live in the most cycle-friendly city in the US with smaller bike lanes than that; you are a whiny selfish jerk. I have no problem sharing the road with a cylist if there is no cycle lane, or it's covered with ice or something...you are just being ridiculous.

  • @pacer142086 the road infrastructure is in public ownership. it's owned by everyone paying income tax, VAT etc etc... so yes, probably is another one of these "cyclists thinking they own the road". It matters not a jot where the cyclist is positioned. As they're more likely to be damaged by your car you leave space for them. Regardless of whether you think they're in the right or wrong. It really is that simple. If that's an issue for you then you should surrender your license.

  • your a muppet, you don't go in the cycle lane, cut in front of her in the lights and expect her to give way to you, then get upset when she yells at you? lmao, its also not illegal to throw your bike of a cliff, so you should probably do that to

  • @CycleNH If youtube wants to suggest these cycling videos to me I don't mind watching them and posting my opinion, that's what the comments are for.

It's not the end of the world if a comment gets flagged
