Trying Expert Pro Bass on Rock Band 3 - Everybody Wants to Rule the World

This was after about an hour of playing around and trying to get used to reading this notation.

There's a couple of lol-tastic stretches in here where my brain was having a hard time turning the display onto its side and translating it into what fret button to push. :)

My fingers, especially my strumming fingers, are going to have to work their way up to being able to handle this for long periods of time. I'm upstrumming with my fore and middle finger and they start to get a little numb partway into the song.

No real intentions to do much with pro guitar -- I have a hard time with chords (guess my hands are too small) -- but I'll probably be working pretty seriously on the pro bass.

@weskerkun Easier than keys so far, and I didn't even make it to pro on those. I'd probably feel differently if I'd tried guitar or a harder bass song, but I tried an easy song on pro keys and still failed immediately. And on more interesting songs, I'll probably do split screen. This song doesn't give much to look at.

you know they include two fender picks with the instruction manual...right?

@united768 I'm planning to stick to bass and want to play it right, and from what I understand, playing bass with a pick is pretty unusual. I'll just tough it out and get my fingers used to it. (I did find the picks, and have a couple dozen more around the house from my guitar. :) )

@woozerkristen2 sorry but this is one of the easiest songs on pro expert bass. it's almost hte exact same on hard. pro keys is actually pretty easy in comparison. play a song with ANY chords then tell me pro keys is harder. the chords are not only hard to read but hard to get the fingering on in time to hit the note.

SCARY! lol I was gonna get all the pro instruments, but they were so expensive Im just sticking to original. But I may end up eventually buying the keyboard cuz since day one of Rock Band 1 Ive wanted them to have keyboard so...
