  • @maxmooney I happen to agree with this. Not only did boys perform it when it was composed but I sang it as a boy with The Columbus Boychoir..(.now The American Boychoir). The vibrato does not do it justice at all and there shouldn't be any.

  • Pergolesi is better than Mozart

  • Holy crap the singer is terrible in this style...Performance Practice ? Why so much vibrato ? why a conductor ? dear oh dear...

  • this is stunning

  • @maxmooney I have heard professional recordings of it with women before, and they sound great, as does this rendition.

  • its a great creature...!!!!!!!!!

  • sorry but women should not sing this piece... it is a boy's piece

  • Sorry but there is nothing in this music against Protestant doctrine. As for "Protestant" music being played in Catholic settings.... what difference does it make? A silly comment...

  • no, i am not "trolling",, nor did i suggest these musicians were right wing, but they are hijacking a very emotive piece for a political end.

i am suggesting there is a difference between a mother losing her young child to (e.g) an illness and a mother who encouraged her son to join the army and proudly boasted of her son defending america only to have him returned in a casket.

although deaths of soldiers are sad, they are avoidable... especially since there was no reason to invade iraq,

  • @noklarok Cascadia Academy of Music in Portland? You think these people are right wing people who agree with the war? Oh I see you are just trolling.. *yawn*
