Hear OFAC's senior employee saying that he just want to "hurt Victor Bout". It is a personal gangster mentality, not to apply or enforce the law. The hear OFAC's bos saying that if Victor has assets in the USA it would be frozen... I thought they claim to have frozen Bout's assets... or was it Chichakli's?
Wost of all, hear OFAC claiming that Victor Bout lost US $6,000,000,000, yes, that is six billion JUST because of sanctions... So how much this guy sale in a year? Where is the 6 billion came from... This is something else, OFAC need to lie to get HUHE credit ... 6 billion worth

  • This is the first time the US government is alleging 6 billion USD in damages to Victor Bout...His wife says she can hardly pay for a cheap hotel room in Bangkok...Somebody got to be wrong

  • Six billion dollar is more than the national budget of many African nations, particularly those with internal conflict. Adam Szubin made the numbers up to show up as the man who saved the world. TRhere are no six billion dollar worth of surplus arms in the world, period.

  • Haven't you ever seen Lord of War? There were 32 Billion in illegal arms surplus that just came out of the Ukraine alone.

  • Yes ApachePil0T, I did see the Lord of War, I also saw the Lord of Rings -- frankly, I don't know which one is more realistic? I'll go with believing everything we see in movies; it got to be real... What do you think?

  • Who is the first man in the video? He seems to be serving public interest well--go around with desire to hurt people?!

What is his name and rank I wonder...

  • This video is part of a BBC that was aired Nov-08. The name of the person was not mentioned in the program; however, he is an OFAC ewmployee who is supposed to be high ranking in order to speak on behalf of OFAC. I think asking the BBC or OFAC would not be a bad idea.

  • @westwind10 DEFINITELY LORD OF WAR LOL, GUNS, GUNS, GUNS!!!

  • @westwind10

The value of the documented global

authorized trade in firearms has been estimated at

approximately US$1.58 billion in 2006, with unrecorded

but licit transactions making up another

US$100 million or so.2 The most commonly cited

estimate for the size of the illicit market is 10%-

20% of the licit market, which would be about

US$170 million to US$320 million per annum.

  • @westwind10 Exactly, dont beleive movies, beleive facts. Read reports, inform yourself instead of inventing facts ! :

read P5 for instance, the market likely exeeds 6 billion !

  • @911Investigate911 That makes no sence but thats ok becouse your username is investigate 911.

  • @ApachePiL0T lord of the war is inspired by him, it's not supposed to be his biography.

  • The Iraq war is over. He has been arrested only because they don´t need him anymore. Free Mr. Bout !!!

  • @westwind10

BBC will just claim they lost the video in the archives and can not verify its authenticity. Like they did with the WTC7 premature announcement of the collapse of a building that was still standing in the background of the live announcement of its collapse. Lulz.

  • @westwind10
